CBSE issues notice to 34 schools for rule violations

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken strict action against 34 schools for not adhering to the terms and conditions laid out in its Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018. A show cause notice has been issued to these schools, emphasising the importance of compliance with CBSE rules.
CBSE has cautioned schools about unknowingly participating in sports events organised by the ‘CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO)’ in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
The board clarified that this organisation has no affiliation with CBSE and warned schools against associating with it or participating in its sports competitions.
The board referred to its earlier Circular No. 04/2019 dated January 30, 2019, which highlights the importance of complying with the Affiliation Bye-Laws.
As per Clause No. 12, any non-compliance will be treated as a violation and action will be taken under Chapter 12 of the Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018.
Additionally, Clause No. 9.2 of the Bye-Laws holds the heads of affiliated schools accountable for ensuring strict compliance with all provisions and directions issued by CBSE.
Schools and stakeholders can find the list of schools served with the show cause notice on CBSE’s official website.
This step serves as a stern reminder for schools to stay vigilant and ensure full compliance with CBSE’s guidelines to maintain the standards of education and administration.
